On the 12th of April 2022, Microsoft announced its acquisition of Nuance Communications – The manufacturer of the Dragon speech recognition software you know and love.
If you haven’t seen it on the news, Microsoft is in the process of purchasing the speech technology for an astounding $19.7 billion.
The purchase between Nuance and Microsoft is expected to be completed at the end of 2021.
The acquisition is incredibly exciting for the industry and for the Nuance range of products, having the two leading companies in the arena of software merging is going to bring about massive improvements and improved accessibility to the technology.
